Bronx's 1st Christmas!

Bronx celebrated his first Christmas this year!  I was extra emotional thinking of my last baby celebrating his 1st Christmas, but the screams and excitement of the older boys ripping into their Ninja Turtle gifts on Christmas morning quickly snapped me out of my moment.

We spent the day as a family on Christmas Eve.  Derek was off work all day, which we loved!  We did some last minute shopping, watched the Rescue Church Christmas Eve Service online, had a nice meal as a family and then went to the Western Mall for the Christmas light display!

A beautiful snow on Christmas Eve!

The boys waiting for the light show to start.  They got a lot of smiles about their Christmas pj's!

We really enjoy seeing this!  So neat!

We were gathered around the tree opening Santa gifts by 7:30 on Christmas morning.  They didn't wake us up any earlier than a normal day, so we were thankful for that!  Santa brought the boys each a Ninja Turtle shell & the Ninja Turtle Sewer Tower to share.  So far this 'sharing' concept isn't going well.  Next year Santa may have to do things differently!

Snoops farewell message on Christmas morning:
'Never forget the real reason we celebrate.  Happy Birthday Jesus!'

A month ago, 'Santa' forgot he had this gift in his pick up and Boston got a sneak peak.. we made up a story about how we ordered a gift online for his cousin Jeremiah and instead of them sending a Ninja Turtle guy, they sent the tower..and we had to return it.  :)  I think he fell for it!

I used a lot of empty food boxes to wrap the gifts.  Brigham thought for sure he had gotten a box of mini corn dogs and he was actually OK with that!

His first Disney Planes toy!
Bronx woke up a little while after the other boys, so he missed some of the craziness!
Boston is really into sharks lately, so we got him a step by step book on how to draw the different sharks!

The original Ninja Turtle movie!
Brigham really didn't need any more clothes, but this shirt seemed so fitting so I couldn't pass it up!
Boston is so pumped about getting more of the Ninja Turtle bad guys.  He's only missing 1 of the 20..

Brigham has his very own turtles!

Santa filled the stockings too!
B thinks it's strange that Santa puts underwear in his stocking every year, but he loved the hand sanitizer.  Ha!
Waiting patiently for their dad to get the tower together!

We headed to Brookings around 1:30 on Christmas day to celebrate with my mom and my sister.  The roads weren't the greatest, so we had to take it extra slow.  The kids got some new movies for Christmas, so they stayed quiet in the car & Bronx napped.  It was a peaceful ride!  My husband gave me money for Christmas, so I bought myself a new camera lens!  I absolutely love it...but go figure that I would leave my camera at home and not get to practice taking pics with it!  The pictures from my phone aren't near as good but at least I have something.  My mom had lots of goodies for us to munch on, and then we had soup & ham sandwich's after gift opening.  We never go hungry that's for sure!  Thankfully, coming home the roads were much better and Brigham & Bronx napped!

Our family!
 All the kids.
 Grandma & the grandkids!

He's pretty excited about his new shirts!

We gave Grandma a new piece for her nativity!

Lacey and I had a necklace made for my mom with all of the grandkids' names engraved.

 Entertainment after gifts by Brennan!

 Silent Night.  :)

We hope you all had a blessed Christmas celebrating Jesus' birth with your loved ones!
