Never a dull moment..

There is never a dull moment with these Gerdes boys!  One minute we are clapping and cheering in the living room because Bronx is starting to walk behind his toys and the next minute Boston is yelling upstairs 'Moooommmmmm!  Brigham just pooped on my floor!'.  Derek and I looked at each other like 'He has to be joking???'..  Nope.  There were two piles of poop on the floor and Brigham had a smirk on his face.  I guess he was having too much fun playing Lego's to take a bathroom break?!
On Sunday, May 25, we had a grill out with some family friends.  Derek's friend Jeremy was flying back to W. Virginia later in the day, so we all got together to see him one last time and to see his sister and parents!  They are such a nice family!
Jeremy & Derek- friends since their toddler days!

Brigham chilling out.  The kids were having a lot of fun with water balloons!
It was another busy, but fun week!  Boston had baseball games Tuesday & Thursday night & he continues to improve each week, so he gets excited about that!  Brigham is usually content at the games as long as he's being fed snacks & Bronx is just all over the place.  I'm usually exhausted after the game & Bronx screams the entire way home because he is long over due for bed time.

On Wednesday, May 28th, Derek had the day off, so we made our first trip to WWW!  It was a beautiful day! Boston is tall enough to go down the slides on his own now, so he was thrilled about that!  Brigham even went down the slide with Derek!  He is still pretty unsure of the water, but I think it's the cold water more than anything.  Bronx didn't care for the water either, but he stayed content in the stroller or being held by mommy.

First ones in the Wave pool!

 Floating down the Lazy River!

May 30:  Friday afternoon lunch at the park with dad!
It works out nice that there is a park right behind his store!

Boston is off to Football camp at Sioux Falls Christian on Monday & Tuesday next week.  The following week is VBS, Basketball Camp at Augie & his 8th Birthday!   He may be getting older.. but once in awhile he still makes time to cuddle his mom and I soak up every single second of it.

Rollerskating Party & A trip to Colman

On Friday, May 16th, Grandpa Ron came to watch the little boys so that I could go skating with Boston for his end of the year fun day!  It was a fun two hours, but I was sore the next day!  I was pretty impressed with how well I did on my roller blades!  No wipe outs!

Boston and his friend Justin
He wanted vampire teeth so he could skate around and scare the girls!
 Kaden, Boston & Jackson
Mom & B!  It was such a fun day!
On Sunday afternoon, May 18th, we took a trip to Colman to see my grandparents!  They hadn't seen Bronx since Oct. so they were excited to see how much he had changed.
Bronx just loved my grandpa!

It has been one thing after another at our house for the last month.  First the little boys had an eye bug, then Boston, now me, then Boston again.  On top of that we all got bad colds & a cough.  My cold has stuck around the longest.

Brigs & his poor red eyes.
My eye last weekend.
We picked up a used train table (which the boys LOVE!) so Boston didn't have a seat for bit.  Brigs is dead to the world, and Boston is holding a grocery sack because he thinks he's going to barf in the car.  These boys keep me on my toes!

When we got home, Boston slept for a good 2-3 hours.  He never sleeps mid day, so I knew he was fighting something.  Thankfully, no puking, just resting and he was fine!

Summer Fun Starts Now!

Baseball is in full swing & school's out for summer!  It's so fun watching Boston play ball!  He's got a really loud cheer leader, and it's not his mom!  Brigham is always yelling 'Go Boston Go!'   He's done really well batting, and is so determined to get a double play when he's playing in the infield!

Warming up before the game.  He was pitching to a friend.

 Up to bat!

Going for a double!
Boston's team played against the other SFC team, so that was a lot of fun for the kids!
Shoot!  He got out at 2nd!

 Ouch!
But he still grabbed the ball to get the out!

Going for the double play at 1st!

Wednesday, May 21st!  The last day of 1st grade!!
Poor Boston woke up with another goopy sore eye.  He's been on antibiotics for pink eye, so we sent him to school anyway since it was just a half day.

We took a few more pictures after school when his eye wasn't so swollen, and the sun wasn't shining in his eyes!

Boston's and his teacher, Mrs. Dewit!  We are so glad that Boston had the privilege to have her on her last year at SFC!  Wishing her well in her retirement!
End of the school year lunch at The Attic!  Boston's choice!  All smiles for his Shirley Temple!
Derek's friend Jeremy Pryor stayed with us a few nights, and the boys just loved him!
Boston & Jeremy rode the Ferris Wheel at Scheels together.
Another basement project off the 'to do' list!  The stone in the bar area!
And our new sectional for 20!   Ok, so maybe not 20, but it's seriously huge and we love that we can all lounge around as a family!

Thursday, May 22:  A beautiful day!  Bronx just loves being outside!

He stayed very entertained with the water bottle at the baseball game!

An afternoon trip to the zoo!  When dad works until 8 PM on the weekend, we plan late afternoon-early evening outings to help pass the time!
Bronx loved being in the stroller!  He fussed less than his older brothers!
There are a lot of young giraffe's at the zoo!  So neat to watch them!

And the newest giraffe is a just a week old!

So cute!  I could have stood and watched her for hours!
A train ride with my boys!  So fun!
