The last few weeks of summer!

Why does summer have to be over?!  We crammed in as much fun as possible during the last few weeks before school started.

Tuesday, August 12th:  I sent Brigham & Bronx to daycare so I could take Boston and his friend Jackson to Wild Water West.  The water was freezing cold, but the boys still had fun!  Their favorite thing was the mini golf!

If a bathroom door gets left open.. this happens.

I didn't realize this until just now... but I was a whole month off on my photo editing skills! This was really taken August 12th!
Wednesday, August 13:  Breakfast and worksheets, just the way Brigham likes it.  He could sit and do worksheets, color or practice letters for hours.

 Working on some capital letters!
He is SO proud when he learns a new letter!
Bronx is a mover!  I was watering flowers and the next thing I knew Bronx was crawling down the sidewalk!
August 15:  It wasn't fair that Boston & Brigham had TMNT pajamas and Bronx didn't, so we found him a few pair online!  He can ever say 'tuhtuh' for Turtle!
Listening to Brigham say his bedtime prayers is one of the sweetest things.
Saturday, August 16:  Brigham really wanted me to take some pictures of him and Bronx sitting in the rocking chair.

Grandpa Ron & Grandma Lisa watched the boys for the afternoon and evening so that Derek and I could go to Colman and golf in the 2nd Annual Gary Hemmer Scholarship tourney!  It was SO much fun.  We golfed pretty good too, considering I hadn't swung a club since Gary's tourney last summer!  Derek and I got 2nd place in the 2nd flight!

Bronx was exhausted when we picked him up!  He fell asleep as soon as we got in the car, and even slept through me putting his pajamas on and changing his diaper when we got home!

August 19:  Bronx was jealous of the daycare baby getting
to play in this fun toy, so he had a turn too!
August 21:  First night of flag football practice!
We stopped at BK for some supper after football.  Boston eats more and more every time we go!  Some days it's 2 double cheese burgers and fries, and others it's 2 cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets and fries!  It's nuts!  Love Brigham's curls in this picture!
Friday, August 22:  We met my friend Tosha and her two boys at the park!

Saturday, August 23rd:  Brigham needed a trim before preschool starts!
Paisley celebrated her 8th birthday at Yogi Bear, so the boys got to do some swimming!  Brigham was SO brave!  I about fell over when he warmed up to the water so quick and was even jumping in and going under on his own!

Bronx even enjoyed it!  His favorite part was climbing in and out :)

Bronx got his clothes and shoes all muddy, so we just let him wander in his swim diaper!
He was such a dirt ball but having fun climbing in and out of the kid chairs!

My dad built Paisley a Barbie house for her birthday!  Bronx fit in it!

August Fun!

Friday:  August 1:  Boston spent the day with his friend Jackson at Drake Springs Pool, so I let Brigham & Bronx have their own water fun in the back yard.  They had a blast!  Brigham is always fighting for attention, so it's fun for him to be the 'big brother' when Boston is gone.  He is much calmer, quieter & a better listener (sometimes) when Boston isn't around.  I enjoy seeing this side of Brigham :)

 Boston & Jackson

These two hate the water, so I barely put any water in the pool and most of it was HOT water from the house!  They loved it!

'I just close my eyes and relax'.  :)

He was so sweet and tried to teach Bronx how to climb.

Sunday, August 3rd:  Another warm day & Derek had to work, so we had more water fun in the yard.  The grass needed some watering anyway!

He loved to stick his face in the water!

This is his shy face.  So cute!

 Rolling around!
Boston wanted Bronx to try the sprinkler.  It was a little too cold for him!

 Good ole Jaxon..
Bronx's little push car got a car wash!

And for the first time EVER...I picked tomatoes off of my very own plants AND made sweet corn to freeze!  What a productive day!
Thursday, August 7:  These boys leave me speechless at times.  I glanced over on the couch and there they all are sitting together so nice, all watching a cartoon on tv.  I almost have to pinch myself because it doesn't seem real at times that they could all be mine!  They are the biggest blessings ever!
I love how Bronx is resting his arm on my leg.  My baby!

Friday, August 8:  Derek had the weekend off.  YEAHHHH!!!  The boys had been waiting for this day the whole summer.. the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie came out!  We got a babysitter for Bronx, and all 4 of us went to the matinee show.  It was so fun & actually a movie I even enjoyed!!

Bronx was so sleepy.  Some days he is ready for a nap by 10:00, but because that usually means he will be awake the rest of the day, I try to hold him off to nap once in the afternoon.  Some days that just isn't possible!  I love that he still lets me rock him :)

Saturday, August 9:  A rainy Looney Day parade!  Rain or shine, the kids still had fun & they left with bags full of candy!

These people had gone through in the parade but had run out of candy by the time they got to us, so they came back and gave each of the kids a hand full!  So nice!
My cousin Jeremy who I hadn't seen in years!
Such a fun weekend catching up and introducing him to my 3 boys!

 Such pretty horses!

All School Reunion float! Next years Looney Days will be a fun time!
This was my favorite float of the parade!

Sunday, August 10:  Brigham & I went to church in Colman and then went to my grandparents house for a get together & lunch with several of my cousins.   It was a lot of fun!  I know Grandma & Grandpa just loved seeing us all together.
