33 Week Check Up!

Friday morning, May 24th, I had my 33 week (32 weeks, 5 days) check up!  The boys had to tag along, and they were actually very well behaved!  I lost a pound since my appointment 2 weeks ago, but the baby bump measures right at 33 weeks and baby's heart beat was great!  The little guy is still very active and at times I feel like I have an army of boys in my stomach.  Today I even let out an 'owe!'.  It felt like the baby did a complete somersault!  The tentative plan is to be induced on July 10th, unless little man decides to come on his own sooner!

Here is a not-so-short recap of the last few weeks.  We've been busy..

Derek is loving his new position at Billion, and I am so happy for him!  He doesn't get home most nights until after Brigham is in bed, and sometimes Boston and I are even in bed, so we ALL enjoyed having him home for his first weekend off!  A Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  It was fabulous!  It also happened to be Mothers Day weekend, so that was even better!  Derek asked me if there was anything special I was wanting.  Within a few seconds I had an answer.  I didn't want flowers, a massage or to go shopping for anything, I just wanted him to do the house cleaning for me.  It is SO hard to keep up on the house work.  The boys keep me so busy, and are constantly making messes as fast as I can clean, and the farther along I get in the pregnancy, the less energy I have for all that extra stuff.  I'm not sure Derek was overly thrilled about cleaning, but he did it!  Saturday morning he slaved away, and Sunday was 'Whatever Mom Says Goes' day!  I wish there were more weekends like this!

I'm sure Derek wouldn't appreciate me posting all of the pictures I took of him cleaning the house, but I had to post just one!  Look at him go!
We also celebrated my dads 55th birthday on the 11th.  We all met for supper at the Tea Steakhouse.  My boys have the best grandpa in the world, and I am blessed enough to call him my dad!
Boston wrote a special note in Grandpa's card.  Just melts my heart!
Grandpa and the grandkids!

Brigs and Derek checking out some video's on the Ipad.
Friday, May 10th, was National Daycare Provider Day!  One of the daycare families gave me this beautiful plant!
The nice weather has been so nice on daycare days.  We spend as much time outdoors as we can.  The kids love it!
We also love to have picnics outside when it's nice!
Might as well leave the crumbs and spills for the birds :)
Another special treat that I got from one of the daycare families was pizza delivery for lunch!  So nice to not have to prepare a meal and the kids thought it was awesome!

Cherry Berry treat!
Friday, May 17th, my dad took Boston for the night.  Derek worked late, so Brigs and I hung out!
He loves to run barefoot on the sidewalk!

This is what Brigham thinks of my coffee!
And this is what he thinks of my Diet Coke!  I can't leave anything in this kids reach!
Boston and my dad have so much fun together!  Here they are trying to get a tree branch down that was stuck in a tree.  They tied a rope around a football, threw the football up into the tree and some how managed to pull it down.

Apparently my dad also lets my son climb on the roof!  He didn't send me this picture until AFTER he had brought Boston home safe!
Saturday afternoon, May 18th, we headed to Hardwick for my cousins graduation party.  Nic & Emilee were my last cousins to graduate from High School.  Makes me feel SO old!  Boston said Grandpa's snoring kept him up all night, so he was sound asleep in the car 10 minutes down the road.
The kids stayed very entertained on all of Grandpa Bud's toys!

Derek has been working the entire Memorial weekend, so the boys and I have been hanging out, mostly  indoors.  I am so sick of rain!  We did get a pretty decent day yesterday, and spent the entire day outside.  Friday night was movie night!  It's a special treat when I put candy in
their popcorn bowls!
Watching Ninja Turtles.

End of school year fun!

Boston has had a lot of fun activities his last week of Kindergarten.  Rollerskating last Friday, a field trip to the public library on Monday, field day on Tuesday, and only 3 hours of school for his last day today!

Brigham hung out with 'Ron Ron' for a few hours on Friday morning, May 17th, so that I could go and watch Boston skate for a few hours.  He was a little bummed that I couldn't skate around with him, but I figured a 7 1/2 month pregnant lady was not safe with wheels under her feet!  He has skated a few times before, and had not improved :)  The poor kid couldn't stand for 10 seconds with actual roller skates.  I decided to upgrade him to roller blades to see if that made it any easier for him.  After a few falls, he was whizzing around pretty well, and so proud!  Roller blades are now on his birthday wish list!

I enjoyed sitting and watching him skate around.  Every 5 minutes one or two of the little girls in his class would come and say 'Do you know where Boston is?!'   He wasn't so thrilled the girls wanted to skate by him the whole time.

On Tuesday, May 21st, Brigs hung out with the Elgersma girls for the afternoon.  Boston got to participate in his first SFC Field Day, and it was fun to be able to watch him without Brigham's distractions!  Field day was for kids in Kindergarten-3rd grade.  It was fun to see the kids split up with students from other classes & even other Kindergarten sections.  It's nice for them to interact with the kids they don't see all day every day in class.  Boston had a blast, and I had fun watching!  The kids competed as a team.  Boston's team name was Hawkeyes!

In this game they had to fill a soup ladle up with water, and walk/run the water to the other bucket.  The team with the most water in their bucket wins!

 Relay race!

Boston survived Kindergarten!!

A few days ago, Derek and I were asking Boston about school and how there were only a few days left.  We then asked him if he thought he was going to pass Kindergarten and get to go on to 1st grade next year.  He looked as us with panic!  Obviously, we knew he was going to pass, but it was sure funny to ask him his opinion.  Ha!  His response was 'Probably not!'.

Last day of Kindergarten, May 22nd, 2013!!
 First and last day photos!

Boston walking out of school in the rain!
He dug right in his backpack to find his report card :)
Wondering if he passed..
Happy to read:  Assignment for next year:  1st Grade!!!

Boston and I celebrated the last day of school with lunch where ever he wanted.  He chose Subway!  Then we headed to Target so he could look at toys and get ideas for his birthday wish list!
We are so proud of this kid!  Bring on the summer fun!!
