Grandpa & Grandma Got Married!

Friday, August 25
Had some girl time getting manicures and pedicures!

 Saturday, August 26:  Wedding Day!
I told Bronx he needed to put his wedding clothes on and he seemed to think this outfit was good for the wedding!  Not sure Grandpa & Grandma would have liked that!
I just love the bracelets & earrings Dad bought for us for standing up for him!
 Getting all dressed up!

I will never forget seeing Dad & Lisa for the first time.  They just looked so happy!  My dad looked so handsome it brought tears to my eyes!
Paisley was such a big help with Blayke!

Professional picture time!

Waiting for the ceremony to start!
Boston & Paisley were in charge of the rings!

Dad was a party pooper and wouldn't let Lisa shove cake in his face!
It was so nice visiting with Ted & Cheryl and Jerry & Val and then these gals showed up too!  We had so many fun times together growing up.  Life long friends are the best!

Blayke was pooped out!  Looking cute at a wedding is hard work!

Back To School!

Wednesday, August 23
First Day of School!  Brigham is off to 1st Grade and Boston is headed to 5th grade!  His last year of Elementary School!

Boston ditched us as soon as we got to the playground, but we tracked him down.  He was super embarrassed I wanted pictures :)

Bronx was a little sad and bored that he didn't have his big brothers at home to play with so I promised him we'd get a donut for breakfast AND go to the park and play for a bit!

Grandpa Ron came over to fix us from the clogged up kitchen sinks!  EWE!
Bronx had his Preschool open house tonight.  He was so excited to go!  Brigs enjoyed helping him look around the classroom and showing him where everything was.

We are so excited for Bronx to have Mrs. Korn as his teacher!  She is amazing!
Her 3rd Gerdes boy in class!
Back to school means back to the normal routine of daycare kids 3 days a week!
It's usually a house full!

Last weeks of summer break!

August 1st:
Bronx had another sleepover with the Hadlers so Brigs had Mason stay over night at our house!  The kids love to have sleepovers with friends!

On Thursday Bronx got to go to the zoo & have a picnic with the Hadlers!

There are usually melt downs and tears when it's time to come back home, and then a nap!  Sleepovers are exhausting!

Blayke loves to be outside watching the kids play!
She's also getting braver on the steps.  Makes mom so nervous!
We don't want to lose anymore teeth!
Brigham yanked out a tooth while we were at a friends house last night!
Morning Monopoly!  I love seeing them get along & sitting quietly!
Sunday morning, August 6 we went to Grandpa Ron & Grandma Lisa's new church!  They found a small Lutheran church in town and became members!
Brigham went to his first ever Warwick Basketball Camp!  He thought it was awesome!

Blayke is so clumsy!  Another fall & more blood!
This was just too sweet not to snap a picture of!  Saying her bedtime prayers.

 Blayke destroying the mail!

Derek has wanted a Barrel for the basement for quite awhile.  A decoration, but also something we could use as an end table.  He randomly found one at Menards so came home with it...and a little red wine still inside!
He's got himself a project!
Thursday, August 10
We had Otto over for a sleepover at our house!  The kids had a blast!
They made forts to sleep in!
All sound asleep Friday morning!
Blayke loves pushing her dolls around in the stroller.
We shipped Boston off to Omaha with his soccer team!  He has a lot of fun going away with them!
Saturday Aug 12
I got a group of friends together to participate in the Sioux Falls Serves project!  We painted a bedroom and some furniture at the Phillips Home.  It's a place where women who have been sexually abused or have come out of human trafficking can go to get back on their feet.  The room started out a dark blue color.  It was in the basement so felt pretty dark and dingy.

We brightened up the walls and painted a few furniture pieces white.

Tiffany, myself, Stacia and Tara!  We had a lot of fun!
These boys are SO HARD ON SHOES!  I found some nice used tennis shoes for the boys and they were super excited!  So funny how they get excited about new-to-them shoes!
Saturday evening we got together at Evan & Heather Anema's so we could see the Dooyema's!  It was a fun night & the kids had a blast together.
We FaceTimed Boston.  He was bummed he was missing out on seeing the Triplet girls!
A large game of backyard kick ball!

So much alike and yet SO different!

 August 17
Having a snack like the big kids!  She even drank her juice box nice!

Flyboy Donuts at Dawley Farms!!  A surprise breakfast for the kids!

Saturday, August 19
We golfed in Colman for the Gary Hemmer Scholarship Tourney.  Such a fun day!
 Our group!

We had Lindsey Groen babysit while we golfed.  Bronx wanted her to take pictures of him dunking the ball to send to us :)
Jack VandeKamp came to daycare a few days.  The boys enjoy playing with him!
Tuesday, Aug. 22
She's finally on the GO!  Climbing up on things and starting to walk a little more!

Oaklee's last day of summer daycare before school starts!  I'm not sure I will survive without her.  She's such a huge help with the kids and her sense of humor brightens my days!
We had open house at SFC for Boston and Brigs tonight.  This is what Brigs thinks of needing to be quiet at school and use his soft voice!  #alwaysonloud
Summer Break is OVER.  Back to school tomorrow!  The boys aren't super sad summer is over, and they aren't over excited for school to start.  I know they are excited to see their friends again though!  As far as mom goes- I am ready for routine again and a little less noise and fighting around the house all day, but I will miss having more freedom and flexibility to our daily schedule!
