4th of July!

Sunday, July 3

We went to Broom Tree near Irene, SD to spend the day with the Gerdes/Mesman crew!  It was a weekend get together, but we were only able to make it for the day because of Derek's work schedule. The weather was beautiful!  The kids were so excited to see the Eisenga's!

Monday, July 4th

We didn't have anything planned for the day, which was a good thing!  Brigs slept until 11:15, and Boston strolled upstairs at noon!  Just in time for Derek to get done grilling our hamburgers!  

 Blayke's first night in her crib.  She was up at 1 AM and 4:40 AM... she hadn't gotten up twice in one night for a long time.  She did go back to bed after her bottle then and slept again until a little after 7.

 I love our video baby monitors!  A very generous gift from Grandma Glady!!  

Tuesday, July 5

 She's starting to enjoy sitting in the bouncy seat and looking at the toys!

Brigham has good days and bad days... today was NOT a good day!  He was not listening to me and the boys were fighting constantly.. I had had enough...and then this happened.  There was a bird sitting on top of the garage door inside the garage.  It was maybe a baby bird just learning to fly, or an older bird that was injured.. Anyway, I told the boys to leave it alone.  A few minutes later Boston came in the house to tell me that Brigham had killed the bird.  I didn't believe him at first.. Apparently pushing the button to make the garage door go up and down, and up and down is funny?

Wednesday, July 6

I had my 6 week follow up appointment with Dr. Scott.  It was my last time seeing her, so it was kind of a sad appointment!  She has been my doctor for 13 years!  She is only going to be doing hospital rotations, and will no longer have a clinic practice.  She rocks.. I will miss her!  The Eisenga clan came over to do some swimming in the back yard & Stephan & Brennan stopped by to finally meet Blayke!

Boston finished up a Warwick Shooting Camp today.  He went Wed. Thurs. & Friday from 11-1.  He enjoys the camps!

B's Grand Slam!

Monday, June 27
It was a big day around here!  Boston had a Grand Slam (in the park home run) at baseball & Daddy changed his first baby girl diaper!  Bronx was asleep before we even made it to the 5:30 game, so of course was super happy when I woke him up :)

 We stopped by Juice Stop so Boston could get a special treat for his Grand Slam!

 They both survived the first diaper change!

June 28

 Chilling outside while mom mows!

 A big group of us got together to celebrate Megan VanderHaar's birthday!  We rode the Sip-n-Cycle downtown!  It was a lot of fun!  Grandma Glady couldn't babysit until 8:30, so Uncle Jason came over for the first hour!

 Wednesday
We headed to Colman right away in the morning.  Bronx, Blayke and I spent a few hours visiting Grandma & Grandpa while Derek took Boston & Brigs golfing!  Grandpa & Grandma were so excited to see Blayke again & to see how much she has changed since being a day old!

 9:45 PM  All relaxed and ready for bed.  Finally outgrowing her new born Little Sister pj's!

A rough day for Bronx.  This nap was MUCH needed!

Friday, July 1

We had a full day of visitors today!  

 My Godson Quincy, from Washington, stopped by with his girlfriend Kayla!

 Boston & Brigham headed to the BroomTree resort for the weekend with the Gerdes/Mesman clan, so it was just Bronx, Blayke and I on Friday and Saturday while daddy worked.  A nice little break from the boys fighting all. day. long.  Bronx loves to ride his Strider bike around the neighborhood, so he is always asking to go on a walk, or to go get the mail!

 When we were getting ready for bed time Bronx was so sad that Boston wasn't home to tuck him in.

Saturday, July 2:

Bronx got to spend the day with the Hadlers!  He misses playing with Otto 3 days a week!!

Bronx was pretty excited to take his first bath with his baby sister!

Blayke got this personalized towel from the Hadler family!  She loves it!

Daddy worked until 11:30 PM so that he would have all day Sunday & Monday off for the 4th!  It got to be a long day for everyone but we sure enjoyed having him off 2 days!

 Ever since Blayke was born, Bronx has been coming into our bed at night.  It started out that he would just come in around 5-6 AM and sleep with us an hour or two.. but in the last month it turned into him sneaking into his daddy's spot before we even make it to bed!  We go in there to crawl into bed around 10-11PM and there he is, all snuggled under the blankets, hiding!  Little turkey!  We have been bringing him back into his bed though, so we can hopefully break this habit.. but some nights we are just too sleepy to get out of bed, and just let him in.  He sleeps super still, so we don't even notice he's in there!
