Gerdes/Mesman Weekend!

Les celebrated his 70th Birthday in late June, so Glady planned a family get together for him!  They rented a few cabins at Broom Tree resort, near Irene, SD.  It was a really neat place!  Derek had to work Friday & most of Saturday, so we just drove to Irene Saturday afternoon, came back for the night, and drove to Irene again for Sunday breakfast & fellowship!  It was nice to catch up with Les' kids.  It's such a blessing we all have such a fun time together!

 Glady had a few of her friends make a quilt for Les out of his Cadets tshirts & badges!

We picked up Tim & Chels' dog in Sioux Falls on Sunday morning & brought him to Broom Tree so they could head straight for home & not have to back track.  The kids loved having a 'big dog' around!

  After breakfast on Sunday morning, we put on a family church service.  The kids sang a few songs, G sang a solo, and Tim gave a message.  It was really fun!
