Gerdes/Mesman Christmas

Christmas afternoon, we hosted the Gerdes & Mesman Christmas.  We were all still under the weather, and so was Glady.  She actually ended up in the ER on Christmas Eve and admitted to the hospital.  She missed our get together and was SO sad about that.  Thanks to Apple, we were able to FaceTime on the iPad's so her and Les could watch the kids open gifts!  Shana & Jason planned some fun games for everyone!

Playing Christmas Jeopardy!  Boys vs. Girls and the girls dominated!

 Jason wrote a poem full of names of Christmas songs.  Each adult had to draw 2 song titles from a pile, and then when we heard our song title in the poem, we got to grab a gift from the pile.  Then once the poem was over, he read off the song titles in order from his favorite to least favorite, and that is how we played our gift exchange/steal game!  It was very clever!

 The grandkids sitting nicely for their gifts from grandma & grandpa.  We had them open one at a time so it was easier for Glady & Les to watch.  It can get pretty crazy!

 Next was the cousin gift exchange.  

We had Lindsey's name again this year & she LOVED what we got her!  So fun!

 Scrapbook paper & fun duct tape!  She loves to make things with the tape!

 Kevin & Paula's kids had Boston again & he was so happy to get Star Wars legos!

 We had Jeremiah's name again this year & he loved getting TMNT again!   

 Chels & Tim's kids had Brigham & Bronx's name.  

 He was pretty excited!
