New Years Day!
The Eisenga's were in town the whole week of Christmas, but everyone was a little under the weather so we didn't get to spend near as much time hanging out as we would have liked. Then when Glady ended up in the hospital, Tim & Chels' plans changed a bit, and they ended up stopping back in Sioux Falls for a night after their time with Tim's family in Wisconsin. The kids enjoyed more time with their cousins! We also got to celebrate Adriel's 2nd Birthday with her!
Adriel wasn't too excited about a picture with Bronx & Hotda!

One of my goals in 2014 was accomplished. I read 1 book a month!
Friday, Jan. 2nd. Enjoying a lazy day at home with the boys!
B and I.
Saturday, Jan. 3.
Bronx loves to close his eyes at you when he's in trouble, or when your taking a picture!
And he always has that darn paci in his mouth!
He loves spaghetti and he HAS to eat it himself!
Jan. 5: The first day back to school after a 2 week break & they had an early dismissal! I wasn't quite ready for my normal 3 days of daycare either. I love time off!
Oaklee & Boston enjoying some hot chocolate after school!
Jan. 6: I thought this was hilarious!
He's right though, it's never quiet when the Gerd boys are around!
Brigham practicing his name. He's improving!
Wednesday, Jan. 7. No school day! It's freezing!
Jan. 8
Helping himself to some snacks!
Friday, Jan. 9! Dad has the weekend off!
Watching big brother head off to school!
Movie night! We finally saw the latest Hunger Games movie. Neither of us liked it!
Saturday, Jan. 10: Since Derek had the weekend off, he was able to coach both of Boston's basketball games! 2 wins! The boys played two tougher teams, so they were exciting games! The second game the boys even won in over time! It's been a fun, yet challenging year. Boston loves that his dad coaches his team, but already, we have dealt with hurt feelings over not being asked to do extra practices or play in tournaments with some of the other 2nd grade kids. My feelings were probably hurt more than his, but as a mother, you just always want the same opportunities for your kids! I was just not prepared for this part of sports to start at such a young age.
Coach giving them a pep talk.
He was pretty pumped about the Patriots win!
Sunday: I went and watched one of Holdyn's wrestling matches. He had a tough match to start the day, and then didn't want to do any more wrestling :)
Boston doing AR reading. He's a good little reader, just needs to be bribed into doing the reading!
Jan. 12: Bronx's eczema can flare up this bad in a day or two! Poor dude! As soon as we get some Aveeno lotion on him a few times a day it clears right up!
Jan. 13: Bronx thinks the time out spot is a fun place! If someone else is in a time out, he'll sit next to them & entertain them!
Long over due for some color & a trim! Goodbye dead ends & those grays sneaking in..
Jan. 17: Short & sassy again!
I took Bronx in for his 18 month check up. I debated about cancelling the appointment because we are all so healthy & I didn't want to risk bringing him into the clinic with all the junk going around.. (he had a 103 temp. 3 days later..ugh!) He checked out great and got 2 shots & never cried!
Bronx loves to dig in the exam room drawers and play on the computer!
Brigham's eye prescription changed, so we had him try out a few new frames. We ended up ordering the same frame he had because there just weren't many cute ones to choose from. His face is just too small! Brigham loved all the ones that mom didn't.
After weeks of searching for a new bed, we finally got it ordered!
I am SO excited for a king size bed!!
Friday, Jan. 16: The morning didn't start off so well!
A quick trip to Target after school!
'Which Ninja Turtle body wash do I want?'
Of course he chose Raphael!
It was a beautiful day, so the boys headed outside for some fresh air!
This face is just adorable!
The snow has been melting, so the boys didn't have a lot of options for sledding hills!
Taking the queen size bed apart! A little bittersweet getting rid of the bed frame (NOT the mattress!) as it's the bedroom furniture we bought with some of our wedding money 8 1/2 years ago! I bought the mattress when I graduated from high school so we were long over due for something new!!
Jan. 17: The boys doing some jumping on the old mattress before we haul it out to the garage!
The new bed arrived! YEAH!
Bronx loves to drag his bath seat out to the kitchen & look out the patio doors!
Sunday, Jan. 18: Our first morning in our new bed..and all 4 of my boys fit next to me!!
Bronx about fell asleep before we left for church. He did fine in nursery, but was not himself all day. Ended up with a fever.
Snack time! Raspberries & crackers. He loves his fresh fruit!
Jan. 21:
Thursday, Jan. 22: 'Here let me give you a kiss!'
'And then let me smack you in the face!'
Sunday, Jan. 25: The boys get bored when Derek has to work on Sunday's, so we did a fun dinosaur puzzle to pass some time!
My two little boys aren't so little anymore! Both sitting on the bench eating cereal together!
Jan. 28. Brigs playing some TMNT lego's before preschool!
Jan. 30: Brigham wanted to help Bronx get his shoes on.
Jan. 31: It took Brigham about a half hour to finish his supper, but he knew if he didn't eat it all he wouldn't get a root beer float before bed!
