It was over a 6 hour drive, but the boys did great! Renae had made each of the kids a little map to follow and when we got to different towns along the way they could eat a taffy!
Renae even gave me a bag of taffy, all banana flavor!!
Somewhere in WI. It was so pretty!

The boys LOVED the lake! I wasn't sure how they would do, but none of them had any fear. Brigham surprised all of us! He swam better in the lake than he had his whole life. It was so fun watching them take it all in. We hadn't seen the Dooyema triplets for 5 years, but all of the kids played so well together!
Brigs wasn't so sure about the slide, but he did love jumping off the dock!
They had a great beach area for the kids to play, which was so fun for the little kids when they needed a break from the water!
Bronx and Kacie
Boston's first time tubing!
Boston was the only one who fell off!
Brigham's first time tubing!
I think the big boys had just as much fun as the little kids!
Brigham loved jumping off the boat or tube in the middle of the lake! No fear!
Bronx on the other hand, wasn't so thrilled about it!
There were a few times I got Bronx naked by the water and gave him a good rinse off before going in the house! He was having so much fun getting dirty.
The lake is quite small, so they have restricted hours for boating with a wake. After 4 PM, it's so quite and calm on the lake so we ALL went out on the water for a boat cruise! We packed goodies and anchored across the lake so the kids could swim! The older kids had to ride behind the boat!
Chloe loves Derek. It was so cute how she crawled right up on his lap and wanted to read a book with him!
Friday, August 14
The dads did some golfing Thursday morning and were gone all day Saturday for the PGA tourney, so the moms got a few hours to themselves on Friday! We ate lunch at a cute little place called The Freckled Frog and shopped at a few boutique stores!
We got this picture texted to us while we were out and about. The dads wanted us to know that all the kids were fed and alive!
The kids going out for a hotdog ride! Boston and the Dooyema girls also did some skiing! Shelly and Derek were in some shallow water to help the kids get their ski's on and help them up out of the water. Boston fell the first two times, but got up on the 3rd try and stayed up all around the lake! We were so proud! The adults even got up on the first try too! I hadn't skied in years!
Saturday, August 15. The guys left early for the PGA tourney, so the mom's held down the fort! We even took the kids tubing! Shelley drove the boat, I helped out in the boat, and Renae stayed back while the little ones napped.
The kids walked around with nets all morning trying to catch fish!
Derek watching Phil Mickelson!
Sunday, August 16: Time to pack up and head home! What a fun trip!
The kids all giving hugs and saying their goodbyes. It was kind of sad!
