On Saturday night, April 16th, the Gerdes/Mesman adults were invited to church for a catered dinner with the Church Board. CJ Callaway's served the food and it was delicious! Pastor Cal and Virg Christofells spoke and then all 4 of Glady's kids spoke too.
It was such a nice, personal way to honor her!
Glady opening a gift from the entire church congregation! It was a memory book full of little notes from members at church. Such a neat keepsake. So many kind, thoughtful messages.
Les also had a surprise for Glady. He had some of her friends make a quilt for her.
During the supper Caleb stayed at our house with our babysitter and Brigham and Bronx. They loved having time with him! Boston was a friends house for a birthday party/sleepover!

Sunday, April 17
We had the entire Gerdes/Mesman crew over for lunch after church.
We also celebrated Glady's 65th Birthday!
The entire evening church service was dedicated to recognizing Glady and her 33 years of service to the church! After the service the church had CJ Callaway's appetizers for the congregation. It was so nice and so many people were there to wish Glady well in her retirement.
Monday, April 18
We all gathered at Glady's for leftover's and visiting before Chels & Caleb head back to NM in the morning! Boston held or played with Caleb almost the entire night. He just loved him!
