Sorry it's been so long since i've posted on our blog! December was a busy month! We had a Brendsel Christmas get together a few weeks before Christmas. It's always fun to get together with my extended family. Now that me and my cousins are all "grown up" with our own families we don't see each other that often, so it's fun getting all the 1st and 2nd cousins together. The kids all play so well together! We had a great Christmas Eve with the Gerdes family. It was the first Christmas without Papa so many tears were shed, but we also had a great time sharing Christmas memories of Jerry. Glady gave all of us kids such wonderful memorial gifts in memory of Jerry. Such neat keep sakes! We were blessed with 20 inches of snow starting on Christmas Eve, so 2 of our Christmas get together's were cancelled. We spent 3 days snowed in! It was a fun time though. We enjoyed spending all of Christmas Day at home. Boston had a blast playing with his new toys from Santa, and I got a lot of house work done! Sunday afternoon we finally ventured out for Christmas with my dad and Lisa. Boston got several new Disney Cars characters, so he was a happy kid! I think Grandpa Ron and Grandma Lisa have just as much fun with Boston's collection as he does:) New Years day we made it over to Hardwick, MN for Christmas with the Johnsons. We were supposed to go there on Christmas Day but because of the blizzard we had to reschedule. I think that was the first Christmas day EVER that I didn't spend Christmas Day with that side of my family. It was kind sad not being there, but there wasn't much we could do about the snow! My grandparents Bud & Marty Johnson are doing well. They enjoy having everyone over, and they absolutely adore the great-grandchildren! Boston and Paisley took a snowmobile ride with my cousin Nick. Temps were below zero so it was a very quick ride, but both kids didn't want to stop riding! Today we celebrated our final Christmas with my mom in Brookings. We ordered in pizza, visited, and opened gifts. It was a fun day, but after 2 days of family get-togethers we are pooped! Tomorrow we head to Colman for my nephew Holdyn's baptism! Hard to believe he is 2 months old already. Time flys! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & New Years. I wish you all a very Blessed 2010!
